Other Mothers free sale

If you live in my area, make sure to put this sale on your calendar. Other Mothers, one of my favorite places to shop for my kids, is putting a twist on their monthly 25 cent sale.

Usually the last weekend of the month they have a 25 cent sale where they get rid of things that were donated but don't sell in the store. I love going to those sales. However, this year they have decided to do something a little different. Here is their announcement from their website:

BIG OTHER MOTHERS BOISE NEWS!

We are having our first GIVE BACK FREE EVENT.

The location will be 2 doors west of Other Mothers Boise store.

The hours will be from 10 am-when you are done.

The first day after Thanksgiving, Black Friday, we will give each customer a large recyclable bag.

Everything that they can fit in the bag is FREE.

Before you donate to other business/charities, save your "get rid of pile" and put it in our huge event that will truly help others.

Flip Flops at Old Navy this weekend for $1

Old Navy will have their flip flips on sale this Saturday for $1. There's a limit to 5 per customer. It is said that they won't begin to advertise this till Thursday and there won't be a ton of advertising. It's a great time to stock up on summer flip flops!

Other Mother's .25 sale!

If you live in my area, mark the last weekend of each month on your calendars. Other Mothers, a child and baby consignment store, has a .25 sale every month, on the last weekend (Friday and Saturday) of the month, starting at 10am!

I love going to this sale. They take all their donations that they deem are not worthy to be sold in the store, and put them in their .25 sale. You have to dig through piles of clothes, toys, shoes, maternity clothes, etc to find what you might want, but I think it's worth it. Every time I have gone I have found clothes in great shape for my kids.

I believe the Nampa store does their .25 on the first weekend of the month. Correct me if I am wrong!

When you go it is helpful if you don't have your little kids with you, but when I have taken mine with me it hasn't been too bad. The Boise location has their sale indoors. It used to be outside which was more difficult. I don't know about the Nampa store.

If you don't live in my area, see if any of your consignment stores do this! It's worth a shot.

Free Kids Jeans

I know the title to my post is somewhat misleading....but I will explain how you can get some free jeans...free replacement jeans. Did you know you could get free replacement jeans for your kids? You can! This is the perfect program for kids who are hard on their jeans and wear holes in the knees constantly. But wait...none of us have children like that, do we?

SHOPKO
With any of their kids jeans, any brand in their store, when your child wears it out before they outgrow it, they will replace it FREE. It has to be the same item, same size. No receipt is needed. If the exact item is not in stock when you go to replace it, they will help you find a comparable item to replace it with.

SEARS
Sign up at the store for their Kids Advantage program. With this program, any article of clothing will be replaced for free if it wears out before your child grows out of it. I am told that even shoes count! I have not tried that myself, so I would ask to make sure. It works like Shopko...the item is replaced by the same item, same size.

Is anyone aware of other stores that do this?
