If you live near an Albertson's, you probably know it is fairly expensive. What I want you to know, is that they periodically have tremendous sales...and when you combine coupons with the sale, you can get fabulous deals. It is a great chance to stock up and build up your food storage or stockpile.
Here is an example. Right now, Albertson's is having their annual Box Top sale, where hundreds of General Mills items are on sale for a really good price. Even without coupons, the prices aren't too bad. Combine with the coupons from the Sunday paper (and online printables) and the prices are even better! Here is what I bought last night (this is actually my second big trip for this sale so I didn't buy as much):
3 boxes Pop Secret popcorn
3 Betty Crocker cookie mixes
3 Betty Crocker muffin mixes
6 boxes Nature Valley and Curves granola bars
4 boxes GoGurt
9 boxes various General Mills cereal
2 bags Chex Mix
2 Kelloggs H2O protein water (both free after the coupons I had)
a bunch of bananas

TOTAL paid: $25.62...that is about .80 per item. Cool, eh? I had $23.33 worth of coupons, plus the way their promo is you get $5 off for every 10 items you buy, so I saved another $15 that way. This is a great sale for me and other who live areas where you don't have the luxury of double or triple coupons all the time.
Today is the last day of the sale! So if you have an Albertson's nearby where you live, gather your coupons together from the last Sunday, click on the printable coupon link I have listed on the right, and go!
My suggestions:
Look at Albertson's ad either from their store or online to see what items are on sale, and plan out your trip before you go. Especially if you are buying a lot of items, you want to understand how much you will be paying before you get to the register. Have your coupons counted (you don't want one to get missed) and watch them ring up everything! Remember: Albertson's policy is that if it rings up wrong, you get that item for free!
