If you are going to do SFG buy the book! It is a great reference tool and you will use it constantly. I do! Also check out a small post I did on SFG in the past:
I just taught an enrichment class with my hubby a few weeks ago on SFG. It is the easiest way to garden! I recommend following what he tells you to do. Don't compromise on the soil mix...that is important!

Have fun Christine. It takes a bit of time to start but so totally worth it. EASY and fun. Gardening is a trial and error process, that is for sure.
