Your input is needed!

Having a newborn, I am up a lot at night, so I have plenty of time to think. Granted much of that thinking time isn't too coherent but last night during a 3am feeding I was thinking about this blog. My blog has grown so much in the past 6 months, even though I started it two years ago. And...I would like to make some changes! There are so many 'deal' blogs out there many times I feel like I am just repeating information you already have seen. So...my wonderful readers...I need your input!

  • What would you like to see on my blog? What topics would you like to see regularly addressed?
  • Do you want shopping lists every week?
  • What topics would be most beneficial to YOU and your lifestyle?
  • What is it that keeps you regularly coming back to visit my blog? Freebies? Giveaways? General good deals?
  • How can I make my blog better? Be honest!

I am not promising anything, but I want to get a feel for what YOU want, so please comment and let me know! I am also looking for someone to give my blog a makeover. Any pointers in that direction?

I discovered your blog about 5-6 months ago. At first it was just for the freebies but then as you started writing posts about how to make things for yourself I was impressed.
I always like the freebies but the advice you give is wonderful! Thanks!

I found you about 5 months ago. I love the info you give on shopping tips, where the deals are, etc. I have loved everything!

Marne, I like your Frugal Friday Living section because it is unique to your blog. I know with all the deal blogs lots of it is repeated - especially the the deals at Walgreens, Albertsons, and Riteaid.

I particularly don't care for giveaways - but that is just me.

I love recipes, crafts, (with pictures), the cute shorts you made from the worn out jeans (a sort of recycling project), I like money saving ideas, budgeting help, etc. I think it would be great to see a section where others can share their ideas - maybe they email them to you and then you post.

Just food for thought- I haven't seen Abby in a while I bet she is getting big!

My favorite thing about your blog is the Frugal living Friday section. You always have such good ideas...I would love it if you added more of those. :D

I don't mind the repeats - sometimes I need the reminders. And one blog cannot get all the deals. If everyone posts what they hear there are bound to be several different ones. I like to hear about the deals, but even more I would love to hear what people do with the deals. (ie: if biscuits are on sale - what different recipes do you use them in). That way I understand why it would be beneficial to stock up on certain items. I won't get too many biscuits if I simply use them to eat as biscuits - if you know what I mean.

your blog is the only "deal" blog i read. i used to come only for the freebie links, but have fallen in love with frugal fridays and any advice you give on how to save money, or reuse items.

your blog is AWESOME!!! it has taught me sooo much! so, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!

I like your blog alot, but to give you some feedback, I know I struggle with knowing if a sale is really a good deal or not. I live half an hour from any shopping, so I can't take the time going to each store to check prices, so maybe a comparison list may be useful. I had a girl named Anna do my blog for my business and she is great. Her button is on my blog at www.christinescardcreations.blogspot.com. Good luck and thanks so much for all you do to help the rest of us out!

I like the Frugal Living Friday posts. I like everything! I just have your blog linked up on my Google Reader so I get your updates as you post them. I take the time to read the ones that interest me and skim over the others. Thanks for all you do!

Yours is the only deal blog I read as well. I love the freebie things and deals at Old Navy. I would love to know how you make your ground beef stretch with wheat--I'm kind of challenged when it comes to using common sense in the kitchen. :)

Marne - I love your blog! you have taught me so much. I have learned more about coupons and working the deals from you than any other blog. I like hearing about freebies, like Arby's on Wednesday. I also like hearing about deals, like Restaurant.com! Thanks for sharing your talents with me!

First of all I only follow your blog now -- I unsubscribed from Money Saving Mom because there was just TOO much info there that didn't apply to Idaho. So I LOVE that you have that stuff here that is focused to Idaho and I don't have to follow MSM. I also love the FRugal Fridays and would love to see weekly menus, since you're building them off the same albies shopping trips I am (the MSM ones are from Aldis, etc. from wherever she lives). just my .02

I enjoy your blog. I love the freebies, the giveaways, and Frugal Fridays. I also love the hints and how tos for getting the good deals at Walgreens and CVS. I can't keep up with all of them as I live 30 minutes from the nearest "real" store, but I make mental notes and when I'm heading that direction, I come back to your blog to check things out so shee what I can save.

I also like your links to other blogs/websites that help with frugal living. I get good information from Hillbilly Housewife for doing things myself and frugal recipes.

I appreciate that you do all of this!

And congratulations on your newest addition!

I think you have many things on your blog that others don't. It is helpful to come to this blog and be able to learn something new and not feel the stress of all the shopping. But have better insite on what to do with all of it. I have been really interested in your picture on the side of your storage in your garage. I would love to see a blown up picture to see how you organize it. Good luck with the new baby. I know that is never an easy time but is very rewarding!

I love your blog. No need to change anything. You are the one that got me into frugal shopping. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I can never thank you enough. Good luck with your new baby.

PS I love how you do everything by the book with couponing. I know I can trust what you say to be honest!

I just got here... sooo I don't want you to change a thing! :) It's going to take me a little while to look around! ;) As for help with the look of your blog, my sister juststarted a new company called SassyFruit Studios... you should check them out while I check out your site! Just add a dot com! Oh... and I'm already in love with your Costco price list and the links to the freebies! Awesome!

ditto what tiffani said. anything unique or especially pertaining to idaho or even the lds community. also you did a post on things that you won't pay for. some of those things i still havne't figured out yet, like how do you not pay for wipes??i have four under 4 and would love to stop paying for wipes, what do i need to start looking for to get them free??? same with all the other stuff you had on your list. that info would be really helpful for me. i like the idea of using readers info. have them email their frugal tips for you to post. like turning a onesie into a normal t-shirt to get more mileage out of it. turning childrens shorts or pants into a skirt etc. thanks and good luck on your decision.
