Marne - I love your site. I went to Bath and Body yesterday to get the great deals that you had posted on your site. Thanks for all the great tips. I'll be taking lessons from the best!
These seem great--but make sure to read the fine print. Most of them require a minimum purchase (which is usually more than the gift card amount). And the fine print changes with each gift card amount. ie: Melting Pot $25 (requires a minimum purchase of 2 entrees) and Melting Pot $50 (requires a minimum purchase of $100). Plus, most of them have an 18% gratuity on the pre-discounted amount. It's a good deal if you're planning to spend money anyways--but just be careful!
Yes, that is true. Each restaurant require you to make a minimum purchase. But you are still getting a STEAL! Remember, for each $25 gift cert you are only paying $10. So for a $50 meal you pay $20...even less if you are purchasing more for gifts and use the codes I listed!
By the way, The Melting Pot is one of my favorite restaurants. I have only been there twice on special occasions since it is so expensive. $50 there is cheap. When my DH took me there on my 30th birthday we spent over $100 on the full course meal. Imagine how much cheaper it would have been for us if we have used these gift certificates instead!
It is a steal of a deal...they'd be fun to use for myself. I just don't think I'd like to give them as gifts (requiring them to pay money out of their own pocket before they can use the gift). I just thought I'd add my 2 cents. Thanks for all of the great advice and tips you put on here. It's awesome!
