Is Costco the best place to shop? What are the real deals there? Share what you have found to be good deals at Costco and items that you can find at a better deal elsewhere. I like to hear what other people have to say about Costco.
I personally have found that toothpaste, shampoo, toothbrushes, etc are much cheaper NOT at Costco. Uh, yeah, I get them for FREE all the time! Items that I like to buy at Costco are the baby wipes, guacamole, frozen fruit, (for our VitaMix smoothies) milk, various produce items, detergent, and a few various other items. We have purchased many emergency supply & camping items there for great deals too. I don't do too much shopping there. I have always wanted to put together a comparison price list but now....
Dewey has put together a wonderful list of prices at Costco! CLICK HERE FOR THE PRICE LIST. She keeps it updated on a regular basis. So print it out and take it with you the next time you go to the grocery store. Now there is no wondering on the best deal. Obviously not everything is on there and every Costco might not be the same, but it is a start! Thanks Dewey!

romaine is a steal at costco...what else? Milk, bread, tortillas, cheese (sometimes)
it is 2 minutes from my house so I sometimes go just for the testers around noon. I like to see what they have and new stuff...oh and their batteries are a super good deal-
I like their avocados- they are big and perfect.
bananas are cheap there- but their apples are really high- some things are really high like their meat- but I suppose it to be really good quality- Costco is good for the everyday type stuff- but it is hard to leave there without spending too much-
I always buy Biosilk Silk Therapy for my hair from Costco. It is sooo much cheaper there than from a salon or grocery store. Cheaper, as in $15 or more. Can't beat that!
I'm new to your site, found it off of Jen Schouten. Costco's online site has a great deal on Shelfreliant shelves. They are only $319 and that includes the shipping. On the Shefreliant website, they want over $400 for one. And if you don't know what I'm talking about, they are the food storage shelf that rotate your can for you. Really Great!!
Thanks for sharing all of you wonderful tips and freebies!!

You can get an enormous vat of sun dried tomatoes there for about the same price as a tiny jar elsewhere.
